The Women in Sport team at UNB was founded with the intention of creating a larger impact together than we can individually. Our platform sets out to educate students and the people of New Brunswick about the disparities that exist in women’s sports and to empower women within and through sport to be leaders. We exist to champion equity, inclusivity and progress within sport and society. We aim to amplify the voices and actions of BIPOC women and athletes as they are often silenced and marginalized in comparison to their White female and male counterparts. Our conversations about women in sport are inclusive to all genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, religions and abilities.
